SERGIO SORIA

The Soria Sergio company is currently engaged in a path of sustainability and has obtained the EQUALITAS Certification.

What is sustainability?

Sustainability is a concept that must be pursued through a long and constant path. The United Nations Commission on Environment and Development (Wced) with the Brundtland report in 1987 defines sustainable development as "development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own".

It means spurring economic growth that improves the quality of life while respecting the ecosystem. The reference model is that of the circular economy which does not produce unnecessary waste or waste, but which seeks to constantly reuse resources, without exploiting new ones.

A model in contrast to the hitherto dominant linear economy model, based on the exploitation of raw materials destined to become waste.

Equalitas certification: what is it?

Equalitas - Sustainable Wine "- is a certifiable voluntary standard on the sustainability of wine and aims to unite companies in the wine sector for a homogeneous and shared vision of sustainability, according to the three social, environmental and economic pillars.

The Soria Sergio company intends to commit itself to the sustainability of business processes along the entire production chain, from the arrival of the grapes in the cellar to bottling, with relevance to human and technological resources that allow to monitor and optimize the environmental economical and social impacts.
